Gauge Pods

Anyone have any Dual Overhead Console Pod, and how do you like it? Trying to find something to work with and was wondering if anyone has one like this?

I have one I literally just put in the truck a few weeks ago I might be interested in selling. I've got more gauges coming and I think I need to step up to a 4-gauge pod above the mirror.... Or a 3 above the mirror and a 4 gauger on the a-pillar.... Hmmm, decisions, decisions. I actually like the looks of this 2 gage pod above the mirror. Easy to see the gauges in there as well. I believe it's an autometer part. The glowshift ones on ebay are cheap looking/feeling. The autometer one's are real good quality. I got my 3-gauge a-pillar pod from upstate diesel.

Completely off topic here.... how come I only see a drivers side headrest in your truck?

Sleeping dog on it and with the bumpy road put it back for more room for him, and just sent ya pm about these pods. .

I was just concerned about how they would hold above the mirror. They use 3m stuff don't they. If that is the case, I really didn't want the pod and guages flying at me while I'm driving. Are they fastened up there pretty well?

Yeah, they're not going anywhere, they've held up to a few boosted launches. There is a lip that catches on the headliner metal section, then the tape holds it up in that. The gauges slide right in but they're not coming out. I promise.

Oh ok. Thank you. I just ordered the 4 gauge overhead console pod. I didn't want to do the pillar because of losing my help me up handle without having steps on the truck. I am also looking at the Autometer carbon fiber series Pyro, Fuel press., Volts, and trans oil temp. Still not sure about the oil temp since there is one in the dash already. The one in the dash does not have numbers on it though to see if the oil cooler is blocked or would I see that difference with the factory gauge?

There isn't an oil temp on the dash... there is trans oil temp and coolant temp. I already made that mistake thinking there was. In no time I'm going to have to upgrade to the 4 pod setup above the mirror. Already got 2 there and 3 over on the a-pillar and more gauges waiting to go in... yikes.

Volts sounds like a waste of a gauge to me. Same with trans temp unless you're towing heavy all the time. The 5R110 runs really cool.

Oh ok. Thanks again!!:c:

One more quick question. I ordered Fuel pressure, pyro, oil temp, and coolant temp. Do you know or know of any site that would be able to tell me what the range(Good and Bad) for each of these gauges is? I guess it is no use having a gauge if you don't know what is good and when you should be concerned about it. :humm:
