Default Sinister coolant filter kit ... some questions?

Got my Sinister coolant filter kit delivered today ... very nice kit, indeed!

Couple of questions:

1. It comes with a disclaimer that a vehicle warranty might be voided by the installation of the product. I have a 36/36 comprehensive, extended warranty. Should I be concerned?

2. After laying it out under the hood, it looks like there's not much room to make the connection to the heater hose. I've got some gizmo that looks like a solenoid attached to the top of the hose in the general area the connection is made. Anyone got a photograph showing this connection?

Also, once installed, it's not going to give me much room for an oil bypass, since this is the most popular area for this type of mod. I know you can put both coolant and oil filters on the same mount, but the Sinister kit has pre made hoses with crimps, which doesn't lend itself to this configuration. I've been looking at a frame-mount bypass kit. Does anyone have a recommendation as to which bypass to get? I noticed they are all priced around $400 and the FS-2500 is around $525. Is it really worth it to spend the extra dollars on the FS-2500?

My dealer never gave me any problems and the valve on the heater hose is what runs your heat on your truck it opens and closes you want to attach it to the front side closer to the front of the truck. And if you do a bypass filter I would mount it to the frame rail or in your he'll the grill is where I ha e mine I have a few pics if you want

Yes, if you don't mind, a couple of pics would be nice. Which system do you have?

Thanks, stone. It does look pretty tight. I'm going to pick up a couple of hose pinch pliers tomorrow, before I tackle it.

just drain a couple of gallons I don't think you can pinch the lines near the heater control valve very easily

Alright, got it installed!

After I warmed up the truck, the taped joints leaked like a sieve! So, I had to remove all of the fittings and apply liquid pipe sealant ... which should have been on there to begin with ... TAPE SUCKS! If anyone else purchases one of these systems, make sure you tear it down and use the liquid sealant ... enough said!

Other than that, it appears to be working just fine. I'll be keeping an eye on it for a couple of weeks, just to make sure there are no issues.

It seems like a quality kit. Here are some photos of the parts and the install:

I like it! How much work is in taking off the grille? How often do you need to change out that filter?

I think I might have stumbled across an FS2500 at an affordable price ... still waiting to see if the guy will ship it to me.
