SCT WITH INNOVATIVE TUNES
 

Ok Heres The deal I just put a High Performance Tranny with Banks Torque converter in my 06 6.0 P-stroke I love the Tranny its got a good firm shift when the tuners not on it but when I put the Tuner on it It brakes my neck d*mn there it shifts so hard ha ha so i took it off I was wondering do ineed to get tunes remade or is there a way to adjust,, Its the SCT X3 tuner i dont have the Xtreme street but i do have the Street tune im thinkin I might Get the quadzilla Adrenaline On the count of I Got a bad ass tranny now i wont need it to be tuned

You DO Need it to be tuned. Putting another tuner on will result in less power and it will still destroy that tranny. It might last longer than stock, but not by much. What tranny is it? Never heard too much about the banks converters. Stock converters are already pretty nice, they are a triple disk factory. Tuning is key to making these trannies last. With good tuning they are excellent! I would start by calling Eric up at Innovative and telling him exactly what you have, he will probably write you new tunes. In the mean time you should be able to turn down the shift firmness. Also the transmission might need a learning period as well.:c:

ha ha well I actually Called up GOS and there makin me tunes for my SCT right now for my truck without as much shift pressure I told them I still want my Tranny tuned with the SCT just dont want my neck broke everytime it shifts and I am not going to buy the Quadzilla anymore I like my SCT to much just gonna get new tunes,, By the way Is Are they still making Looney Tunes?? someone told me they went out of business

they still make them he is under a different name now and i cant remember it at the moment :argh:

Quick trick automotive. It's just Vivian... they split up the business or something and she's working under that name. I am running the looney right now from her as my DD, as it's slower and definitley not nearly as hard on anything. The transmission shifting left a lot to be desired compared to my Innovative tunes. If you let off the throttle at all or just look at the truck the wrong the torque converter unlocks, which sucks at highway speeds. It doesn't ever seem to lock it hard when you're WOT from a roll or anything... like I said, good DD, but for the track, my Innovative tunes are going back in. I also had a lot of shift flares and missed shifts when I first loaded it, it took a LONG time to "learn" what it needed to do, but seems OK now.

Just my findings.

Also she took 2 weeks to respond to any emails I sent about the transmission issues. Never resolved a thing. Eric is back to me within hours....:c:

Just a heads up I got the Street tune from GOS and I like it:tu: It rolls a sh*t load of black smoke out runs real strong tranny shifts great im real impressed with it I just called and said I wanted power but safe power as in I dont have head studs safe he said hed hook me up in about three hours my tune was ready downloaded and its great i got gobs of power blacksmoke quick spool up time good shifts so far so good also gonna have Eric revise my tunes its wierd Erics street tune doesnt puff black smoke at all on my truck its just as clean as stock i mean thats getting a good burn but I like smoke its got pretty good power i dont think as much as this GOS tune but pretty good but no smoke and way to unfriendly with my new tranny so im gonna call and have it revised:tu::yeah:

Cool, thanks for the update. My tune from Vivian is a looney w/ smoke. It smokes about 2x as much as my Innovative tunes, but no where near as fast. Don't let the clean tunes from Eric fool you.:rocking:

i just got innovative street tune... i was thinking the samething.. no smoke!! but she kicks down good!! im still waiting on rcd for my lope tune.. maybe this year they will email it to me?:td:
