Anyone tried there module reprogram?

wondering what there takes were on it.....

I used Power Hungry Performance to tune my FICM. I have been very happy with the results. The low end power is much better and the turbo spools so easily. I ran the tuned FICM with stock tuning, a Quad 160 module and now my SCT tuning files. I have been impressed with how well the PHP FICM tuning worked with all the running varations I was able to perform.
If you are running ID SCT tunes or plan on getting the ID SCT just get the FICM tuned by ID. If you already have SCT tuning done then you can use PHP.

Would i have to get new tunes on my sct if i got this done, or would they tune the ficm to work with my current tunes.

I'm not sure who you are using for tunes but perhaps talking to PHP and your tuner you can make sure there won't be a problem. At worst you will need new tuning files adapted to the FICM tuning. PHP advises that the timing and fuel cannot be too agressive.

I saw that the other day. Do you have to send in your own ficm of your truck? Or do you think I could send in another one so my truck is not down for a week or two?

If you have a second FICM you can use it for the tuning. It doesn't need to be the current one out of your truck.

Thats what I was wandering. I cant be down that long so I was thinking about getting one at a junk yard and sending that one in. I appreciate it

so i bought a brand new FICM this week just gonna send it away but am wondering if i need the FICM programmed for my truck it will not run with it in there right now?

You need the FICM programmed before it will work. I'm not sure if they load their own stuff onto the FICM, or modify the existing programming.

If you throw a box-stock FICM on a truck and try and start it, it won't start. Trust me. LOL.

YOu might want to contact them first and ask if they require any programming before they modify it. The only problem is if their modifications are software based...the latest and greatest FICM calibration that Ma Ford is cranking out will overwrite their programming...

I believe that this new FICM cal that rattles the injectors slowly at first, then ramps them up to full rattling speed slowly is going to help the FICM last longer.

Spoke to eric and he said it does not matter if it is programmed or not he will overwrite whatever is in there

yeah the new program on the FICM seems to be doing the trick.....

only took5 years and a discontinued engine to do so........
