The Next Big Bomb?
Well, I just had Head studs installed, and unlike our cummins buddies, injectors are very expensive for the Fords. I am most likely going to do water/meth when Snow's new stage III kit comes out in the next week or two, but maybe I should save that money and just go NOS.
Thoughts and feelings? Thanks in advance. |
um........... dont ya use nos to burn extra fuel??? If ya dont have the extra fuel (via injectors) then i dont thing NOS would really do much for ya.

Adding more fuel is easy, but NOS may be overkill until I do get bigger injectors like your saying. There is a limit as to how much fuel you can add with stock injectors, just not sure if it would be enough for NOS.
Water/meth should be enough to keep me happy for a short while :) |
I thought propane worked very well for fords.
Also, water/meth is more for lowering egts, didnt think it would add as much HP as propane or nos Then again, i dont know much about ford performance stuff. I have read that propane works better on dmaxs and fords than it does on cummins, and water/meth is better on cummins than the other two. |
Nos and Propane
Both work well on ford just as long as you know how to use them. The main advantage of spraying some extra juice is actually lowering your egt's. I myself am a fan of the water meth kits but I know several people running both nos or propane.

I think I'm going to clean up the Harley, take some pictures, and sell the thing. Then I'm just going to do it all at once! Injectors, Turbo, Fuel system.....etc.
Anyone want to buy a 2003 100th Anniversary Dyna Wide-Glide 33 hundred miles, all black with Anniversary emblems. Drag bars, pipes, low profile seat, Bunch of other things. Come on guys, help me with my addiction! |
How about some pics of that Harley!

Injectors
I drive an 04' F-550 6.0/auto w/ a 16' cube/dry box for work. With 102,000 miles the turbo and injectors both took a crap on me. I talked my company into a set of injectors from Elite Diesel. They are a reworked stock injector good for 55 hp. Elite calls them a stage 1 injector. The set (8) went for $2150. My company also put a new stock turbo on. The results were awesome! I haven't found a hill to slow me down yet, loaded or empty. It will actually hold a hill with the cruise on now! Before you could watch the speedo just keep dropping. My mileage went up by 1+ mpg and it starts and idles better than it ever did, including cold starts. In my opinion the injectors would be a great investment regardless of who you get them from. Just my 2 cents

My 2 cents
I would look at a FASS fuel system to really open up the potential of your fuel capabilities. You do that and some injectors and get you a good tune, possibly from my buddies Jeremy and Matt at LIPD and you'll be kickin it!:c:

Have got the snow stage 3 on my truck added about 83 hp to the truck water and meth is good but if you want lots of go then nos or propane is the way but the two will incerease your combustion chamber pressure were as water and meth will not
