2006 HPOP
What is the largest injector a 2006 hpop can hang with? I was browsing elites website and they say a 205cc is the largest... But isn't Shawn ellerton running a stock 05 hpop? Is the 05 and 06 the same?

I think so. I remember seeing the terminator hpop for only 03-04. Not sure on the injector size. Im sure a good running pump can handle it.

There's nothing available for the 05+ in the way of a bigger pump. Shawn was running the stock 05 HPOP, yes (past tense), but he was running hybrid injectors. For a standard injector yeah 205 is about the limit for most, but not everyone. Some get away with 225's, some have issues with 190's. Shawn is now running a custom dual pump setup. He has a hydraulic pump on the front of the truck that is belt driven. I believe Elite sells a dual pump kit too. You can run hybrids and get away with a stock pump, but then you lose a little injection pressure. They're not really good for daily driving either as there is usually quite a bit of fuel dilution in the oil.

Where do you tap for a hpop pressure gauge? What is safe pressure? 4000 psi?
|
It's an electric gauge, you tap into the ICP wire harness. The monitors don't pick up on it correctly, since most of the custom tunes have false ICP readings, so what you'd read on an CTS or something would only show 2000 max or something like that, when in reality the pump is pushing 4000psi. Getting the stand alone gauge and tapping into the ICP harness shows the true reading. Shoot a PM to CSIPSD on here. He knows these gauges inside and out.

Other OBDII monitors can't read true ICP psi when custom tuned. As you know, you either have to buy a analog gauge or read the ICPv with a monitor and hand calculate/convert the ICPv to true ICP psi. DashBoss does the hand calculate/convert for you and displays the true ICP psi. So far readings are accurate. |
Sweet, thanks for the help guys! I'm gonna order one the weekend

Lilpooh, that's awesome to hear.
