Leak after timing advance..
 
So.. I advanced my timing today and afterwards i have a fuel leak out of the fitting deal right below where the boost tube goes into the back side of the exhaust housing... any ideas???

It's a weep hole. Have you messed with the fuel pin?

Thats whats doing it, the rack is traveling far enough to break teh seal. No big deal... Don't worry about it.

umm its leaking quite a lil bit... and continuous... i want to fix it..

To fix it, get a new fuel cone that doesn't have so much travel. Or turn the cone you have so that it won't let the pin travel so much. Or dig into the pump and replace the pin with a longer pin. Or maybe it isn't that you have too much travel, it's just that you need to replace The Most Annoying O-Ring in the World that seals the pin.

explain this ''seal'' is it the hard plastic thing that goes around the pin in the AFC housing???

Okay, so we gotta get terminology straight first.

The "fuel cone" is the piece that is connected to the diaphragm and moves up and down with boost pressure.

The "pin" is the pin that rides back and forth on the cone.

Around the "pin", where it goes through the pump case, there is a little O-ring. That O-ring is really hard to get out.

If the "pin" travels too far because the cone is cut too deep, it will no longer be sealing on the O-ring and fuel will leak from the pump case out the little rubber vent below the AFC pressure sensing line.

But then your going to lose the benifit of having the pin.

It seriously wont hurt anything other then dripping a little fuel.

but its freakin pouring out... like already cleaned the whole side of the motor in about 120 miles...
