SDX injectors
just wanted to throw a big thank you to Brice at BBD and SDX for the great injectors.
I also wanted to point out that the injectors also helped with the truck shutting off when I shut turn the key to shut it down; when I first bought the truck, there was this rattle of the engine at idle and would smooth out when accelerating, so I replaced the injection pump (14mm head) it still did the same thing but would shut off when I turned the key, then after about 3 months, it started the same thing, not shutting off when I turned the key, so I just said F@#$ it, and buy a set of injectors, well today I put them in and the nasty rattle went away and it will shut off when I tur the key off, I never thought that the injectors would cause this even after the injectors that I had in it, were checked out and nothing came back, that when I changed them, it would clear up all my problems. I bought the 5 x 14 , they are a little smokey, but when the hwic/hx40 turbo kicks in, they clrear right up. I know that I dont have my upgrades on line, here there are 14mm pump, isb oil pump, 5x14 injectors, h1c/hx40 turbo, euro 2 camshaft, 3911400 marine pistons, 60lbs springs, ported head by me,DENNY T 2 FUEL PIN, and soon to come, seat inserts. Again, Thank you Brice @ BBD PERFORMANCE and SDX |
Im glad the SDX stuff is working well in the 1st gen scene too. Maybe the prices from the other places will get back to reality. Some of the aftermarket injectors arent that reputable yet you wouldnt know that by the price tag on them.

OK...first post here so here it is....
My 93 D250 3/4 ton is semi stock at the moment but I have a new job running loads of machine parts state wide and interstate...some heavy to be sure. I have inquired in Missouri about injectors for the 12 valve and mixed confusing responses. What I need to know is... given the stock rotary pump, what size injectors are recommended for this engine and the use. Trans is auto. I do have a KN air filter and am going to get 4" pipes put on. Have 3 1/2" coming out of the turbo which is also stock. Any other "step by step upgrade suggestions" would be appreciated...including rotary pump if anyone things that is a factor to address later. I know I am going to need the extra power with the hopes of maintaining reasonable milage. Thanks ahead of time for any advice. |

Adjust the valves, check and make sure all the injectors are popping off at the correct pressure, check you fuel supply pressure and give the whole truck a good once over. |
