AFC Removal
I was thinking about taking the afc out of my pump and wondered if anybody has done it on here?
By remove teh AFC what do you mean? The pin? The Foot? The whole set-up?
i dont know, my buddy said i should take it out when i put my governor spring in. i dont think its the pin.
I would leave the pin in. Maybe get an aftermarket pin. The AFC is a pretty important part of the pump. Removing teh foot will give you full fuel right off idle but that does nothing for performance, in alot of cases it can actually hurt performance.
The AFC is useful I would get a pin and adjust it some til your happy.
x2
Eh takin out the foot is fun for a well if you drive long distances it doesn't hurt mileage but around town it'll kill ya. Either way do what you want and learn from it.
i thought it added hp. So i'll just buy a pin.
How much is a M&H pin? |

Well if your lookin to go that wild a M&H 5 or DennyT Stage 2 are both about the same. M&H I know is a sponsor to this great site, so X2, I would say cantact alwaysworking.
i'll get one when i get a clutch. My funds are low.
As far as removing the AFC I just got through doing it..........and then putting it back together. I stripped the return fuel line on the afc housing and thought Id machine a replacement top. It looked cool but I missed having afc control.
I fogged out Central Texas and then found a good top at a pump shop. Like others say, get an aftermarket pin and then tune your way up. |
