I want a flat bed
I think a nice aluminum flat bed would look good, anyone got pics of a regular cab 1st gen with one? Mine is two wheel drive, so I don't know if it would look right, would it? Pics would be appreciated.
Thanks Billy D ---AutoMerged DoublePost--- :humm:I didn't even think about weight issues, if there would be any. Hmm, maybe a steel flat bed:humm: how would that be in the snow, and ice:humm: |
i have pics of one with a steel flatbed but not a aluminum one. alot of people underestimate how light an aluminum bed really is. i like steels ones because the extra weight helps out for tracktion is you live in wet or muddy areas

I agree with ya, flatbeds can look good if done right, I have a 1998 Chevy 3500HD 454 Crew Cab farm truck that I pull the wifes horses with, It is the long wheelbase 84CA and has an 11' steel bed with recessed gooseneck hitch and headache rack ( Hillsboro brand ) I added a custom tube/drop bumper to the rear with reciever hitch, all LED lights, I still need to cover the gap between the frame and bedrails to finish it, but it looks really good right now:tu: I'll try to get some pics of it and put'em out here soon.

So would my little ole regular cab, 2 wheel not look good with a flat bed, alum. or steel?:humm:

well the only difference really in looks for aluminum or steel is really just the color. structurally looks wise you can make them look identical. i think it would look just fine if done right. especially if it was a dually
