Star wheel
how far can you turn the star wheel down in the pump will it stop once its all the way down? also does it give much power compared to the increas in smoke?
It will stop when it gets all the way down
yep
is it worth the power gain?
IDK it gives you some more low end smoke and maybe a little power but it results in slower turbo spool. Its really not hard to adjust and can be better used with an aftermarket fuel pin to fine tune. Adjust it, if you dont like it put it back where it was or play around with it some
its kinda strange. it feels like it just moves the torgue ban a little bit.
i didnt notice any more smoke or power with mine. i went all the way down with mine
ya i dont think its much of an improvement.
all i noticed by movin mine was, with it all the way foward it spools faster an all the way back it takes forever to spool
what do you mean forward? all the way in or all they way out? kinda lost me
sorry all the way forward meaning toward the front of truck
My startwheel just goes 'round and 'round. I can't tell which direction it's pointing. I turned it counterclockwise until it stopped smoking like a freight train before the turbo spooled.
when you turned it out until it stopped smoking before the turbo spooled did you loose any power?
Nope. Once you start adding fuel the AFC adjustments become pretty useless except to back them all the way out - unless you're just trying to make smoke.
What star wheel?? I didnt really find much use for the spring either......Same with my idle screw......
the spring in your pump sits on the star wheel
i dont no about most guys but i ground my pin down some my starwheel is down as far as it goes an the truck does smoke pritty bad in the bottem but my spool time seems to have stayed the same i took that little plastic washer out form around the pin... as for fueling my power screw is turned in about 1 3/4 turns.....all in all i think you will just have to play with the afc setting till you get it where you like it keep a screwdriver an a 12 mm ( i think) in your truck... can't be afraid to play with the stuff:U:
