RSWORDS 06-18-2009 07:40 AM

The easest way is to just call a Cummins or Bosch dealer and ask for part number 1-464-650-366

jkidd 07-20-2009 10:56 PM

I just got a bunch of them in if you are still in need.

And don't tell them it's for a Dodge or else they get annoyed real quick...

I always ask for parts off an excavator. :yeah:

RSWORDS 07-21-2009 04:10 PM

just give them the part number...

Rocky Mountain Texan 07-30-2009 11:37 PM

i installed mine today but forgot to mark the ticks, and i've tried every possible combination to make it right and it jus wont work. Any suggestions

jasonfriedlin 07-30-2009 11:41 PM

Just keep playin with it, its got to be in that one perfect spot or it doesnt work. I did the same thing last week and took the throttle linkage apart 5 or 6 times before I got it. Good luck :c:

Rocky Mountain Texan 08-02-2009 12:21 PM

runs like a commonrail now

jasonfriedlin 08-02-2009 03:10 PM

Good, I was scared as hell when mine didn't work right but kept playin with it and its good, but my throttle shaft is leaking a lil bit now so I get to take it all back apart and do it again :humm:

Budgreen 08-26-2009 03:14 PM

I just ordered mine online earlier this week. much faster than the Bosch dealer could get it to me, and cummins bridgeway shop told me to go elsewhere to find it :madd:

I think if it shows up i'm tearing into the pump tonight yay!

jkidd 08-26-2009 03:51 PM

I have a bunch in stock. let me know if you have trouble getting them

Coco2992 08-26-2009 07:27 PM

Just a heads up before this goes any farther take talking price to PM's please. One of the few policys we have! :U:

And Coco you will be very pleased with a 3200 spring!!! Well worth the low cost!

Budgreen 08-27-2009 09:06 PM

Just got mine installed. took about 3.5hrs cuz it took me forever to get the idle screw out of the way, it seems bent and wouldn't come out :( but anyways.. wow what a difference!

looks like a lost a lot of black smoke in the process :humm: but hard to tell at night.. looked kinda more grey in color when i got on it.

tower_ofpower 08-27-2009 10:37 PM

well before long i'll be able to say my truck has a new set of nuts under the hood... adding the spring to the parents order for an upgraded trac bar kit for their truck... i covered their fuel filter and fixed the fuel leak so we're going to call it even :yeah:

Budgreen 08-28-2009 07:15 AM

You will love it.. I know I was a bit skeptical of how much it would give me.. but nice!

here's what I noticed:

snappier throttle response.
smoother idle and less smoke (not sure on this but its acting like it has less fuel)
pulls really hard at the top end of the gears when the turbo is lit, like 2x difference third now pulls like 4th used to (for the g360 owners)
crusing at 75-80 on the freeway isn't killing my foot keeping the pedal down.. more like 1/4 pedal left AND very responsive with power to pass.

RSWORDS 08-28-2009 09:38 AM

Those that feel like they lost a bit of power and smoke up top its probably because you are pulling your lift pump down to 0psi now.

lol yeah... about that... i'm sure an air dog will need to be in the works...

Budgreen 08-28-2009 12:48 PM

seems to have top end power. just lost some bottom end..

guess I should throw in a better pump anyways.

RSWORDS 08-28-2009 01:07 PM

Did you do any other changes?

Budgreen 08-28-2009 01:33 PM

None at all. the only change was a slight adjustment of the idle since it was way to low when i set it back.. I think I added maybe 1.5 - 2 turns to the screw from where it was to get back. Fuel filter is good, just changed oil.

it's not a huge loss, feels like a bit more turbo lag honestly, it'll smoke but it cleans up faster than it did before the spring. i'm prolly due for a lift pump upgrade anyways.. and looking for a better clutch before this one comes apart.

tower_ofpower 08-28-2009 07:03 PM

way low after the spring install? if you didnt mess with the idle screw everything should have remained the same...

Budgreen 08-29-2009 12:01 AM

I got the idle screw almost off. i was gonna shorten it and install the screw side to the front for clearance to the pump housing bolt. I had it marked but couldn't ger it out.. it's a little tweaked like someone pried on it or somethin *shrug*

thinking about it. my issue is the grind I put on my fuel pin. it's very light then dipd hard.. so at lower crusing boost levels it's not fueling hard and saving me some fuel since I mainly drive highway. If i put the bottom end a little more agressive it should fix my issue.

i'm good. lol

tower_ofpower 08-29-2009 10:56 AM

lol i just angled mine relative to the factory profile and pushed it into the bench grinder...
put a slight curve to it... maybe... lol then i polished up the surface and wire brushed the crap out of it... i does ok :w2:

crossy's son 01-26-2011 07:32 PM

I'd hate to bump an old thread But i have a video now which helps with the 3200 Spring install alot.
