Tow rig bombing

Hey everyone, I am kinda new here but have some experience with the 1st gens. i am looking to get more power out of an early '91, but still keep the EGT's low for towing. It had POD's when I bought it, what might work better for more power and less smoke? I have just recently put a Snow performance stage II on it, happy with the power, not so much with how quickly it goes through the juice. I would like to install an intercooler, but the tubing is the difficult part, any thoughts? What other pump tweaks can I do, but not get too excessive of EGT's? I do have autometer boost and pyro gauges. I did get the 16cm3 housing, but haven't tweaked the compressor side yet. Was thinking of going with the GDS or HTT 60mm upgrade? Don't have a lot of funds but willing to spend a little. Thanks ahead of time for any help.

turn the full power screw two turns, the star wheel all the way down, turn your fuel pin to the deepest setting and your smoke adjust screw down two turns. exhaust and an intake should keep your EGT's down.

Towing with a non i/c truck with pods will be very hard if the fuel is turned up. You need atleast a compressor upgrade or better yet a new turbo and I would also put in a intercooler. Its very easy to say. The hard part is doing it and paying for it.:pca1:

x2

how much towing you plan on doing with this truck?

I pull my horses all the time and I also haul hay on a 24ft goose-neck. Most of the time it's in the summer. Horse trailer and 3 horses=10,000lbs, and the hay is about the same.

I would go with the GDS 60mm upgrade. Maybe swap out the POD's for some 370's from new era. The POD's are real dirty injectors. What transmission do you have? If its an auto I would look into a converter upgrade and shift kit. That will help you towing more then anything.
