2g lift pump regulator question

In the threads I've read it seems people are using boost referenced regulators, this seems to me like it would be incorrect for this application. Am I looking at this wrong? If you set to 15psi then add 30psi of boost then your fuel pressure would be 45psi would it not?

Don't get a boost regulated regulator. just get a regular 9-12 psi adjustable regulator.

I had one on my old VE engine.

The one I got has a boost reference, but I'll just leave it unhooked.

Get a fuel pressure gauge if that pressure goes above like 17psi I think you can blow out the front pump seal.

Fuel pressure gauge is among the goodies I'm waiting to get delivered.

Right on I'm waiting on my snubber valve from Genos and two overflow valves from larryb's.

I'm waiting on cab mounts, leaf spring bushings, a few gauges, a fuel regulator, governor spring, 60mm compressor, and some silicone couplers. Gonna be busy when everything comes in.
