727 help
does anyone know where to get a hold of a 727 torqueflite for my 90 ctd my case is cracked so if u have just a case great or the whole tranny cant afford an nv4500 conversion yet:argh: any help would be great

i found one in california at automatic kings for six hundred $ did not find it on that website probably due my complete lack of skill on the interweb

sam tranni used in gasser from the late 60s as far as the case goes not sure if u need a big block or mall block bell housig though

theyre not the same cause ive got a roadrunner with the 727 in it and the top of the case i believe theres a little cuttout on the diesel 727 versus flush all the way around for the gassers:humm: ithink ive got that right id have to look again but both are at the farm some 40 miles away sittin in the shop so no tellin anyway case should be in on wednesday and ill have my truck back together hopefully by the weekend thanks for the help:c:

i found one on craigslist for $700. I wouldnt reccomend going with another 727 though. I'd look for a 47rh or at least a 518 4 speed that was in the intercooled first gens. I made my mistake of going with another 727.

I about killed my mod'd 727 towing to heavy. Even have a extra cooler witha fan. Oh well the 47rh will be better. Prolly need to change axle gears tho....
