clutch... lets beat it again

Finally got the go ahead from the wife to get my clutch! I'm looking for a dual disk clutch, needs to hold about 500hp 1100ftlbs, must be towable and good for a DD, if it will hold up for truck pulls thats even better. looking at this VALAIR NV5600 Spring Hub Dual Disc Clutch 2000-2005 Dodge Cummins NV5600 650HP-Organic Buttons. or the southbend 12 button clutch... so many options!

I'm convinced you'll be happy with either a valair or south bend. I DD my 3250 SB at about 600hp. (was at 555 hast time on the dyno, now EFI Live and some other goodies) Just an FYI, SB street dual discs are not rated for drag, or sled pulling. The SFI clutches are. Even though I'm sure plenty of people dragged and sled pulled with a street dual disk. Plus I don't drive mine too nicely at times either.

its kinda weird how something rated for 20,000lbs and 550hp cant pull a trailer 300'?:argh:

Shock load......big difference. You try droppin the clutch in 4x when you are on the street with that 20k lb trailer and see how any dd clutch holds up.
