5 inch exhaust questions

ok well i got the wife willing to let me put a 5 inch exhaust on my truck for Christmas and i am wanting to know what is better stainless steel or aluminized i know the stainless steel would be better but i have heard that in extreme cold climates like fairbanks ak where i live with the getting hot and the extreme cold that the stainless will crack. also what would be better looking tip on this a 5 to 6 or a 5 to 7 i have a 4 to 6 now and love the way it looks just wondering what would be the best with going with 5 inch turbo back. thanks for your advise in advance

I'd go with an aluminized 5" with a 6" or 7" tip. If your truck is running stock lift I'd stay with a 6" tip.

5"-4"

What would be the difference in sound from a four inch to five inch assuming they both have 6" tips? Don't mean to hijack your thread but i thought it was along the same lines

The 5" will have a deeper tone.

Deff aluminized unless its a show truck why spend the money when aluminized is just as good I live in up state Ny not nearly as cold as you but I have a 5 inch mbrp turbo back straight pipe with a 6 inch tip and I have had no problems Mbrp gives off a nice deep tone when your on it but if you are cruiseing no drone is noticed. Good Luck
