Thinking about installing an Airdog.
What power gains can I expect? Anything I need to consider when installing Air dog?
Please let me know your thoughts.

gained power? Unless you are dropping the fuel pressure to 5psi or less at full throttle all your gaining is a reliable pump with better less restricted flow and clean air free fuel... If you have a 04.5 on up truck with the intank pump it is more then enough to keep your truck fueled with your mods...

I have a 2003 and right now on level 5 fuel system can't supply enough fuel. I want some more power but wanna keep truck reliable. I have 136000 now with no problems whatsoever. I have had mods on since 75000.
Any other mod suggestions?

Ok id def do an Airdog if you still have the lift pump on the filter canister yet, that pump is on borrowed time. Mine went out at 100k

Anything special I need to consider when I install? Which is better in your opinion airdog or fass?

since I did both of my trucks the instaltion has become alot easier on them! I love AirDog installed 6 now and its alot more compact setup vs the fass but they are both good. (Its father "airdog" vs son "Fass") Any questions you can think you have or wanna know?

Do I gotta drop the tank? What's the hardest part about the install. Everything I've read it sounds fairly simple.
Any tips?

If you are going to do an ADII (which would be my suggestion) you will have to drop the tank to install the kit. Reason for that is there is a new suction tube that will go into your fuel canister. Aside from that the rest of the install is a breeze, mostly plug and play from there on out. If you have a few buddies and a case of beer it's very easy to pull the bed off (unless it's jacked way up). Usually with 4 guys and about 30 minutes of work you'll have the bed on the ground and nice easy access to the fuel tank. :rocking:

I can tell you though that even if your stock pump was in perfect working order you would see better throttle response, about a 1-2mpg increase and around a 10-15hp increase. At least that was my result on my dmax.

Why an airdogII? I was thinking of AD100.

The ADII whether you do the 100 or 165 is a bit more versatile as far as what power ranges it will cover. There is an ADII 100 that will hook right to the stock sending unit plus give you the adjustable regulator to help dial in your optimal pressure.

The ADI 100 is still a great unit and will still just hook to the stock sending unit, however it will not have the ability to dial in your fuel pressure. If you would like to increase pressure on the ADI you would need to change the pressure spring. Some common rail trucks respond better to pressures more along the 21-25psi range.
