natural gas injection

Does anybody have any knowledge on NG injection? I've done a little research and I own a CNG Honda civil that is so cheap to fill up it's stupid! I can get it in OK for sometimes 75 cents! I would like to hedge some of my Diesel costs by doing NG injection. Any thoughts?

how about puttin a ng engine in the truck?

natural gas injection

There are several Cng kits out there. It has been done before there was a single cab dmax a couple years ago in diesel power challenge that was running it

Are you against Propane or water/methonal injection too? It's a similar process.

you mistook me. i'm not against it. i was just saying with natural gas generators and you mentioning the other vehicle i thought a conversion might be an idea. i meant no sarcasm or hostility by it. if it seemed that way i apologize

I used to work on Natural Gas Compressors, its simple stuff. Alot of companys are running Gas engines off Natural Gas/Gasoline but most of them should have did this idea, better mpg and be using two of the better fuels. All the Natural Gas/Gasoline vehicles I seen where I worked were nothing but trouble, mainly because we let them run all day and drove down rough roads. I'm sure by now they are trouble free but first few months were hell. I was waiting for my mechanic truck to become a Gasser but I doubt I'd make it more than 100 miles on Natural Gas, and the station being 30 miles out of way would be more of a waste. At least on a diesel, same size NGC tank as on Gasser, could go a good 1000+ miles since its like a 80-90% diesel to 10-20% NGC combo. You'd have to ask others but I've heard NGC, like Propane, isn't the best on a modded truck?

No problem, sorry for jumping to conclusions.

Where are you from in Oklahoma? I know what you mean on the gassers, I work for Chesapeake and we got a boat load of them. They all seem to be doing well, like you said though at first we had some problems. New technology I guess? Most things I've read say as long as you don't go above 30 to 40% CNG you won't have any problems.
