im new to the the diesel world im trying to make my diesel smoke and more power i have 5" straight pipe exhaust and a hypertech programmer turned all the way up and it barely smokes and has no highway power.

What kind of truck do you have??? With what you have done you should see a significant diffrence in power but if your wanting to pour black smoke and up your HP even more your going to need to get new injectors.

I find my 4" straight pipe, AirDog 100, Flux Is, 6spd, and SmartyJR a very driveable combination...and once its warm, I get almost no smoke even at WOT (unless I purposely lug the engine). Even before the Smarty JR, the Flux Is yielded almost no smoke, and no more than stock injectors. And that's with 250k on the clock and a stock turbo. |
ok i need a honest opinion i pull wait and pull 30k pound trucks out of the mud at my job. my auto tran is not stock it can handle 800 hp. im looking for power and pullin torque what is the best way

And exactly my point steved. Alot can be done with the stock turbo on the Cummins motors. |
