Call Dave at Goerend tell him what your plans are and he'll build what you need!
Price 3-5k depending on what you ask for!

I have to agree 100% with dangerous1965. I had a Goerend trans put in my 04.5 approximately 1.5 years ago after dropping the trans pan for a routine fluid change and pulling out a thrust bearing in about 3 or 4 pieces. Truck had about 130,000 on it at that point. Got the truck back a week after dropping it off with a redone trans, and triple disc converter. I went with billet shafts for a little overkill, but it was something I only wanted to do once. $6k WELL SPENT imho! The truck drove and shifted better than it ever did!

Then 3 months ago I noticed a trans fluid leak...tried everything I could think of, no lines leaking, not the pan gasket, not coming from the torque converter. Finally took the truck back to Goerend to have them troubleshoot. Turns out the trans case was cracked due to the rear driveshaft u-joint failing by seizing up and sending vibrations through the driveline and into the trans. Normally this scenario would crack the overdrive housing at the back of the trans, no problem to replace don't even have to remove trans from truck. I got lucky and it cracked the case up near the bellhousing on the top right where you couldn't see it. Here is where Goerend's earned my praise and business for life. The case is NOT a warrantied item and certainly it is no fault of Goerend's that a failed u-joint cracked it, however Dave "worked with me" on the cost and found another case and got me back on the road. :rocking: Now THAT is what I call Customer Service!! :tu: Service like that is VERY hard to come by and well worth any extra $$.

yeah, i'd be more then willing to pay for customer service, you don't see that much anymore, its nice to know some of the bigger companies still do that, most don't, appreciate the input
