how do you stack chips?

ok i have been doing alot of debating and research and i didnt want to be a dumb a** but i have to be i am looking at stacking my jwa with an edge ez or ts mp8 but how would i hook the secound one up with to the map sensor if the jwa is already pluged into it thanks for the help i just am so confused on this

crzycummins 11-19-2010 08:09 PM

you would stack something like an ejwa and a smarty. something that plugs into the obd port in the cab but make sure they are compatable

mysterync 11-19-2010 08:14 PM

In all reality in most cases more power can be made without stacking. Somthing Like a smarty would provide all the power you would ever need if the truck is built properly.

Look at it like this, You can increase pressure and increase power, but you could also use bigger injectors to increase flow without increasing pressure and get more power gains. If you ask me stacking is building power, it's changing more maps to reach the desired effect, Why not go ahead and upgrade the turbo and but some bigger sticks in it and get more Good results with far less bad results!

ok i get what you both are sayin but i just want to know how its done i read about it on here way to much and want to know if i ever wanted to try it how to go about it

99stackedpowerstroke 11-19-2010 09:34 PM

haha and my chips not on there!!! haha

RAW 11-20-2010 07:31 AM

Probably because these are for Dodges, as this is a Dodge thread.

crzycummins 11-20-2010 08:04 AM

you would get a ejwa or quadzilla adr and get them all hooked up. then you would take your handheld, plug it in and tune accordingly

Just like posted above, one chip would put hotter software into your ECM. The other will all power externally, like a wire tap into your VP44. The ECU will will ask for so much, the fuel box will increase it again.

cummins army 11-20-2010 10:55 AM

ok i know about tapoing wires on a vp44 truck but i have a common rail what would i do to hook up the 2 chips to the map s

crzycummins 11-20-2010 11:36 AM

you dont hook up two to the map sensor. you hook up one to the map sensor. the other has nothing to do with under the hood. it is plugged in inside the cab thru one plug. the odb port and will not be adjustable on the fly. superchips...smarty.etc...

cummins army 11-20-2010 11:59 AM

then how do people stack the jwa and the ts mp8

crzycummins 11-20-2010 07:32 PM

probably some type of splitter that has 3 plugs?

RAW 11-20-2010 11:04 PM

I imagine there would be a HPCR sensor fooler as part of one chip, and the other will reflash the ECU.

layedback40h 11-21-2010 10:33 PM

if i get a smarty can i use my edge juice monitor as gauges if i have it on stock mode :pca1:

RAW 11-21-2010 11:05 PM

You can use both for power as long as the Smarty is set on even settings (no timing).

cummins army 11-23-2010 07:37 PM

ok will some one who has already done it please help me i know it can be done i read about it on here way too mush so someone please tell me how to
