Built Transmission w/TC

Hey everyone need a little advice on a new Torque Converter and transmission. So I am in the process of ordering all the new clutches and what not for my transmission :rocking:. Right now im looking at the level 4 RamZilla kit from PATC. First question on that is, is there anything missing from that kit that I should really install during my build. It comes with the billet input shaft with all my cluthes and steels and ill be ordering the output shaft seperately. The biggest question I have though is how good is the PATC TC. Their website says that the level 4 Ramzilla is good for 1000ft/lbs on a diesel but I don't know anything about their torque converter. Any help or advice would be appreciated. The main goal for the truck is 700hp so I need something that I can play with but also be my daily driver.

Call Dave Goerend at 563-778-2719 he'll hook you up with the parts that you'll need to hold that much power, 700hp is pretty much going to require a fully billet transmission

i will agree call dave at goerend
a 1000ft lb isnt crap thats a single disc you need atleast a triple disc

yeah if you're at 700hp on a common rail that's gonna put you in the neighborhood of 1200+ft-lbs of torque

hey thanks for all the replies so far fellas i do have a minor dilemma however i live in alaska. so my freight charges and pretty high and i was honstly trying to do it myself with the help of a buddy of mine that worked at detroit diesel for 15 someodd years and is now retired in alaska. the patc tranny kit comes with upgraded red alto clutches and steels, updraged kevlar bands and the works so my main question is will this kit with a good torque converter get me to my goals or is it just one of those getting the job done for the moment kinda things thanks for the help so far fellas

if i were in your shoes, i would call and talk to Dave. explain to him your situation. he might be able to price you a rebuild kit HE uses, and a converter for around the same price of the other guys.

i know nothing about the brands you listed but i bet Dave has dealt with them one way or the other. he doesn't sugar coat anything and he will help you rather you buy something from him or from a competitor.

take an hour or so and give him a call and get his input on the parts. they may be the same kit he uses or has used in the past.

that's what i just went through.....just had Dave send me all his parts and had a local guy build it....didn't really save any money because he fried my tcm but that's a whole nother story...the only thing that i didn't get from him was a valvebody most premade vb are good but to have one built and tuned to my likings was the way to go and saved me about 400 clams:tu: all in all i have about 3700 in my tranny including the new tcm. that's a lifetime triple tq billet input and billet internals the only thing i didn't do that i should have done was a 6 gear planetary.

How much is it for a fully built Goerend tranny, VB and triple converter? With all the goodies.
