How much boost before studs?

First off I want to say that this is an awesome tool. Great people with the knowledge to back it up.
I have an 04 dodge and I am currently making 28lbs of boost with a bully dog gt diesel chip and silverline 4" exhaust. Is 28lbs of boost normal for this year of truck and how much more can I go without having to stud the heads? I am thinking of getting a quadzilla boost fooler but I am unsure on how much this will increase my boost. On average how much more boost do you get from a boost fooler or a boost elbow. What are my options for more boost?:rocking:

Boost fooler 40+ psi with mild mods stock turbo......studs after 45-50psi!

yep any thing over 50 psi you would probably want to have studs put in, but more important over 50 psi is making sure your drive pressure and boost are 1:1, seems crazy high drive pressures will take out a head gasket before the higher boost. Running the stock turbo you dont have to worry about it, but if you get an aftermarket turbo, its cheap insurance to stud the head.

Just how crazy are you wanting to get? You may need more than head studs. Thought about injectors? Since you will already kinda be there. Get a new crank case filter again since your there.

I just want a few pounds of extra boost. Should I get a boost fooler or a boost elbow? Not sure which one is the best route.

It also depends on what turbo your running. 40psi running a stock turbo is a lot worse than running an aftermarket turbo @ 40psi.

So a boost fooler will give me around 40 lbs of boost? Right now I am making 28lbs of boost and I have the bully dog gt setup with the silverline 4"exhaust. Should I expect more out of it? What should be my next mod. I have been thinking about an intake but do they make that much of a difference? What do you guys recommend? Sorry for all of the ???'s Modified is addicting.

Yeah it helps in the big picture! Find one with pretapped holes for add ons in the future! Also get a cold air intake!
