Gauges not working!!!

Ok so I got the itch and tried to install my gauges last night. We got the boost, and pyro tapped no problem but when it comes to the wiring we just couldn't get them to work. The isspro EV2 gauges say to go red, orange, black, and then the wiring from the sensor. We daisy chained all the gauges together for power, lighting, and ground. But after all that there was no light and they wouldn't even power on. So we figured out the right order for the wiring but right now when we plug in all 3 gauges only one is getting power. The lights don't come on at all but with the volt meter thing we can dim the lights and it works just fine but there is no light in the gauges at all. We tried grounding to several different places and tried power from different locations and no luck at all.

Right now I have the power tapped into the cigarette lighter wire (pink with yellow stripe), the ground is at the battery terminal, and light switch/dimmer is connected to the factory dimmer switch wire (orange with brown stripe). The volt meter says there is power to the red wire (power) and to the orange (lighting) but none of the gauges power on and none of them light up. I bought 40ft of new wire and I am just going to rip it all out and start over to see if that fixes it.

Does anyone have any idea what may be wrong? Are we missing something somewhere that is simple? We looked on every website we could find with instructions and followed them to the letter. I also have an alarm system that I am worried may be causing a problem in the circuit somewhere. Is that possible? All help is greatly appreciated!

just make sure when you shove them together that it pierces the wire

We made sure they were touching. It gets power but only one gauge at a time and if all 3 are plugged in only one works.

Have you tried powering up each gauge seperitaly, one at a time? The combination of all 3 gauges tied together might draw too much power for all 3 to power up. Just a thought.:humm:

No something is really wrong. I just hooked up the boost gauge and nothing else and it still doesn't light up. The little motor inside works so I know it has power it just doesn't have light and doesn't read from the sensor. I pulled all the old wire out and ran all new wire and all 3 have power now but none of them light up or work. Im totally at a loss. :humm:

Well I figured it out. I don't have the EV2 gauges, they sent me the regular Performax gauges and those need the box for the gauges to work so now I am going to have to get them traded. Its bad enough they didn't send me all the right parts to hook them all up in the first place, they send me the wrong gauges too! :bat:

Where'd get them from? And just curious, whats the difference between the Performax and EV2 guages? Besides wiring. It didn't seem very clear on their website. I was gonna buy some today.

Have a good ground? Have good switched on power supply? Have lights hooked into the dimmer switch "Right wire"? Thats all you need! Really simple system! The pyro has it's own plug in and the Boost should be a tube to the intake! If it's a electronic style it's tapped into the MAP sensor.
