how to install boost, trans. and pyro gauges in a '06
hey gang, I'm having a hell of a time trying to locate where I should put the sensors for the gauges. Does any body have any pics or tips for me? sorry if I'm pain in the :moon: ...........thanks cj

I'm not sure about the boost, mine gauges were done at the shop, but as for the pyrometer, its best to do a pre turbo tap on the exhaust manifold which is very easy but make sure you put some grease on the bit and tap so you don't let any shavings fall and get into your turbo. As for the tranny, you can do two things... Drop the pan and tap it and have your probe sit in the pan or put a T fitting on the oil line and have the temperature of the oil leaving the tranny going to the cooler...

Look for a boost bolt for the boost gauge. One of the site vendors will have this or know where to get it. DieselManor - Accessories Basically you just replace a bolt that is on the intake manifold plane with the boost bolt, pretty easy to do and it will come with minor instructions. Here is one for reference RLT BOOST ADAPTER ('98.5-'09) DODGE-Dodge Cummins Diesel Truck Accessories – Geno’s Garage Next, tap the manifold in either spot by referencing the two pictures I have attached for your Pyro. Lastly, a line from Massdiesel MassDiesel Performance: MassDiesel Performance Transmission Cooler Line Dodge 2003-2007 is the way to go with the trans temp. However, having said that, I used one of these ACU TEMP ADAPTER ('89-'09 DODGE)-Dodge Cummins Diesel Truck Accessories – Geno’s Garage on my Dad's 06 on the hot line to the cooler and it has been working flawlessly for two years now.
