Do you want to go with a full intake or just kill the box and slap on a filter?

The filter part is easy. Remove the box and get a 4" PVC pipe about 4 inches long and use it to connect your stock air tube to the new filter. You'll want to make something to keep it from resting on the bottom of the air filter and a heat shield would help you out too.

Gut the torque tube at the same time.

Got a filter to put on the tube...
EaAU 4510
This is a 4.5" flange like the stock. If you end up with a 4", there are other options listed there.
Can get you a price if you wish:)

I will be getting ahold of ya going to be needing some more tranny fluid as we ended up doing the trans in the motorhome before dad took off for alaska, so he used 5 gallons to fill the 400 a tranny cooler and a custom tank to add fluid to the system a buddy made for him. trans temp was getting 240 plus before we changed up and added the good stuff now it's been to 230 but that was pulling the grades from what I was told.

I have seen it done plenty of times. It is very simple. No problem. I would gut the torque tube also.

Ive been wanting to do one on my '03 too. What about the air flow sensor thing thats on the factory box? How do you mount that when your putting on a BHAF? And does anyone have the filter number?
