Flex-A-Lite Fan?
has anyone done the swith to the flex-a-lite fan? I'm thinking about it but was just checking with yall...

it is ok if you DO NOT PULL ANYTHING. it does not flow enough volume and you will be setting a check engine light as the fan clutch is operated by the ECM

I have the flex-a-lite fan on my truck. Have not had any problems with it. They say don't have over 18000lbs gross weight with it. I haven't come close but even pulling my enclosed trailer at 70-75mph my temp doesn't go over 200. And I have my fans turn on around 190..
I have yet to set a check engine light after putting it on my truck and I have had it for 2 months. I will be making a 1000 mile trip with about 10000lbs probably next week I can give you more info about how it does after that trip too. |
Cashwheel on here has a set, I know he pulls more than 18k gross, maybe he will chime in.

I just ordered a BeCool pusher fan from Jegs to mount in front of the condenser. This will be used in conjunction with the factory fan. It's very slim and does fit although it is very tight and must be modified a little bit so the grill doesn't hit it on the way down...
