Autometer's Quality

I got a boost, pyro, and trans gauge from them. The boost sticks until you give it a flick, and the trans fogs up on humid days. Does anyone have a crappy batch like I do? My pillar mount even looks like crap. The edge that is up against the glass is like a squiggly line; not nice and straight at all. And the hole for the bottom gauge was a lil too big; think I got some super glue on the mount and the gauge holding it in. Just wondering about yalls?

:booo::booo::booo::booo::booo::booo::booo::booo:

Ive had a bunch of gauges , i paid like $200 for my autometer electic FP gauge and its JUNK , it gets hotter than hell and fogs up so bad you cant even read it , I have 2 Old School Diprocols on my piller and there crystal clear and i love em

Ill never buy an autometer again ... Common How many years have they made gauges ? they should know what there doing by now

When I asked them about it fogging up, he said I could send it back to them and they would reseal it! WOW what an excellent customer service; instead of sending me a new one, I was going to have to drive around with a little hose blowing air in my face while they take their time with it. Well he didn't care for my reply. All I heard was well you can send it back to get fixed, CLICK!! Great service...

:hijack: After all, they are owned by MSD Ignition, which owns Super Chips, Edge, and a few others. I had problems with the above mentioned, and I'm still having problems with the above mentioned. Person shouldn't have to keep sending gauges and chips back to get fixed twice a month.

I have the Autometer Z series gauges in my pillar.. Trans, Boost and Pyro.. Had them about 2 months now.. so far so good.. Except at WOT i can hear the Boost gauge sucking air.. and I know its tight.. I rechecked it.. thats my only complaint about mine that and the regular bulbs with rubber covers on them look cheesy at night in my opinion.. This is the first time ive ran Autometers in a diesel.. Over the years ive used SEVERAL Autometer Tachs.. and they always performed great for me.. but I wont buy another set for a diesel truck I know that.. Just not impressed with the quality and fit in the pillar mount.

I love my cobalts... no, they don't match my interior like the dipricols do, but I love the cool blue and it matches my IGo cell charger :)

I think the guages now that are the "Bomb" for diesels are the DiPricol Optix. I have Isspros EV Series and they have been excellent (BTW, ISSPRO uses antifog coating on the inside of the guage glass), as well as the Stewart Warner Performance line.
