Auxiliary trans cooler on 2006 5.9 3500 ???

Who has installed a auxiliary trans cooler and what lines did you taps in to?

I'm interested in this as well- what trans mods do you have and why do you want an aux cooler?

My trans has Goerend billet triple disc con. Billet input shaft, Goerend valve body and also their deep pan. I tow a camper along with a electric golf cart in the bed. I have had this cooler on the shelf and want to use it. I need to mount it under the bed and run a line from the rear hose (return line) to the cooler then back to the trans if I am not mistaken. My cooler has an electric fan and temp sensor, can't hurt 😉 just need AN fittings and hose.

I'm also wanting to get a cooler also but I dropped the stat 2 a180 and it runs 20%+cooler now it stays around 179 lil higher at times but better than 200 or 210 that's a hit trans in my opinion

Several years ago I installed a trans cooler (with an electric fan attached) right next to the driver side of the transmission. I fabricated the necessary brackets to install it flat (horizontally), with the electric fan on top. I tapped into the "return line" to the trans, cutting and flaring the ends of the cut lines with the necessary hardware (union type fittings). I then used flexible stainless steel braided lines with AN-10 fittings, and attached to the cooler. I wired the electric fan to a relay, then to a rocker switch that has a blue colored LED light that illuminates when I turn on the fan. I only switch on the fan when I pull my rather heavy 5th wheel travel trailer in the mountains, or summer traveling through the deserts of the southwest. Works very well for me, and my trans runs at a constant 165-170ish when driving the flats, and NEVER goes over 185* when mountain driving, with the trans cooler fan on.
