Which turbo wheel ??? Wicked wheel 2 or ..
I really want to get one I've seen alot if good things about the wicked wheel 2 but I've also seen others say there are better ones out like batmowheel and riffraffs??? Does anyone no which is the best ?
i have read that batmowheel is not that good of quality, but i personally dont know my self.
Someone needs to do a dyno with different wheels and see who's is actually better
WW2 is impressive on my buddy's 02 psd
I installed very high quality and huge difference from stock wheel

I heard riff raff makes one that is 6/6 instead of 5/5 that sounds like it would be way faster on spool idk tho someone needs to show some proven results

if you have the 305HP engine your turbo is tiny. 54mm or 56mm. I sell billet wheels for often under $200. I would not recommend them for that turbo. Save your money and get a better turbo. a 63/68 with gated housing is $1250 and will support 600HP.
The gtp38 has a poor wheel and most anything is an improvement. |
He went from 15psi of boost to 24psi of boost then we put banks big head gate and exhaust and Intake and TS chip and started pulling 28psi of boost so yeah huge difference from stock money well spent and no it's not expensive considering it was 250 bucks and a new turbo is 1400
Also just recently installed riffraff wheel on 03 6.0 and gained 6psi of boost so yes these wheels weather it be ww2 or riffraff are very well designed and very cheap and turbos on the super duty model 7.3 and 6.0 are something you can do in a lunch hour seriously I timed myself on the 6.0 from the time I started to the time the truck started it was 1 hour and 15 minutes
i have seen dyno test results that say other wise. now this was on a cummins, so it is possible that the power stroke is so badly designed that an after market wheel does help. but you wont get results like that on a cummins unless the wheel is cracked, chipped, warped, ect.

Well I want to upgrade my turbo cause I plan on getting my truck up to some serious numbers but before I get to the big numbers and have to do twins what would be the best single turbo for me? I'm about to get a smarty touch and I have performance injectors so I don't see lag being to big of a problem. I want the best for the money and want a good sound I've heard the fleece turbos are great and sound badass ? What do y'all recommend?
what are your power goals? knowing that will help us help you. there are a number of options depending on what you want for power. you say lag wont be a problem, but lag not only depends on tuning and injectors, but also what your primary turbo is. you will get the fastest spool using the stock turbo. stocker/s475 is a popular set up and spools fast. 63/475, 65/475, 65/480, 66/480, 67/480 there is a few compound set ups that you can do, just need a power goal to pick the right one.

I'm trying to get 7 or 800 and ima slowly buy parts for it and I want a good turbo that can spool with a smarty touch and injectors but also handle when I put more stuff on ! I'm not looking for a scientific answer I'm just wondering what turbo is best for 500 hp and will still be fine for 800 ?? And I no the turbo won't spool super fast at 500 all I care is that it will still push hard:tu: I've built a 24v I had on 8 lug Mag and I had a quadrille and rv275 and bought a big turbo that everyone said wouldn't spool properly and well sure enough it spooled better than anyone thought lol worked better than perfect!!! :tu: The reason I'm asking is I haven't really looked at many new turbos so just want to see if y'all knew a turbo that out performs others ?
what trubo do you have. the he351 or the other one on the early 3rd gens. i forgot the name of it
He341 ??? I think I got the shitty lil one ...... How can I tell
From what I was told the 03 -04 have he341 and the newer models have the better he351 is that true ? And I've been looking at turbos and some say t3 flange and some t4. What flange do I have or how do I tell ?? I can take a pic of my turbo if needed it's small lol but I do like how small the exhaust house is cause I do get a very very nice spool
yes the 03-04 have the he341. starting in 2004.5 they put the he351 in them. so depending on if you have an early or late 04 will depend on what turbo you have. look up part numbers on the turbo to see what turbo. There is tag on the top left side of the motor (drivers side), if it says 325HP that should be the 2004.5
O I no I have the he341 cause it's a mechanical waste gate and the he351 are electronic but all u have to do is plug it and tie the wires outa the way. If u no anyone that has a he351 i want it and how much could I sell my he341 for its nice and runs perfect I just want something that will handle 40psi a lil better. But I would really like a fleece I heard they sound awesome and that's what I really want.... Loud whistle and quick spool and a lil more air flow !!! What y'all recommend

Borg warner 69mm s369sxe will support 800HP and spool fast or faster than a 66mm.
Most billet wheels are not worth the money. The genuine FMW wheels from Borg warner kick the trash out of most 3rd party wheels. Does anyone honestly think that Borg, warner, Holset or Garrett with hundreds of engineers and equipment to actually test and create maps are going to be behind the curve and that random companies using off shore producers are going to be on the same level? There are a few places that do billet stuff domestically. You can get a SXE turbo that has high flow cover, FMW wheel, 360* thrust and is built at BW with a 14cm gated housting for under $1400, or T4 ungated for under $900. I see no need to buy a $250 wheel to cannibalize a good turbo (that can be sold to offset teh price of a new turbo) and put the billet wheel on a used turbo and unbalanced (as a rotating assembly with the new wheel), or pay someone to do it when you can step up with all the features for a few hundred $ more. |
Ok I'll look into that man !! Thanks
