twins or single turbo

I got an ht60 turbo off an n14 cummins. The hot side is 74mm and the cold is 87mm. Could I run it on my truck as a twin setup with my stock turbo or a big single?

I am not really familiar with the "Big Rig" turbos, but just from the size you gave I would say your best option is to run it as a twin setup with your stock turbo. The only way I would run a single that big is if I didnt plan on daily driving the truck. In a twin setup it should work well though.

That is quite large. Dont use as a single as ya might not be able to get enough exhaust volume to spin it fast enough to get decent boost. With that in mind, you'll be puffing out lots of black smoke and going nowhere fast.

How many days do want to wait for that pig to spool? It's a good turbo, but requires a large volume of exhaust to spool it up. the engine it came off of is more than twice the displacement as yours and as such, spews twice the amount of exhaust.

if its a 74/87 you will almost have it spooled by the time you get to where you are going. you will hate the lag and wish you never put it on. if you run compounds with it and your stocker it will be great.
