Help!! 99' Dodge cummins 24 Valve

1 Attachment(s)
Hi i recently got a 99 24 valve, i have a (horrible) 3" turbo back to a 6" tip, came with the truck. All i have done to it is a Smarty (set to 5) because i still have the stock trans, and a triple pillar with glowshift gauges, Pyro, Boost, Trans Temp. I live in a small town, and everyone and their sisters have diesels, now ive owned three cummins powered trucks and until now have had no interest in building them up. But im sick of these young kids getting daddy bought trucks and throwing a chip in it and thinking their badass. Now i have a bit of knowledge, but id like to know what parts and makes of parts i can put on this truck to make it unbeatable. i just want to shut everyone up who thinks they are bad in my small town. I currently have a 5" lift with 20" rockstar wheels and 37" toyo open countries. PLEASE GIVE ME YOUR FEEDBACK, ALL OF IT IS APPRECIATEDL, AND I JUST PUT A 8" STACK IN TODAY

a lift pump will be first on the list and i would get that fast expecially with the smarty you are running. and than a tranny, not something wild just a new converter( florida tourque converter) sells good ones for not that bad money, a new valve body( ats or DB diesel) and some new clutches (?) after you have taken care of the stuff that holds it together, you can start making power. diesel is simple, just fuel and air. its just balancing those two out. you already have a great tuner so next would be turbo. twins is the best way to go ( in my opinion) so a s300 stacked with the stock will get you like 50 psi and very fast at spooling or a bigger one would be like a s475 which will give you plenty of air. there is also cheaper ways like a ht3b found on cummins semi trucks will get you around 50 psi.but if you plan in getting new turbo, head studs are a must also. fuel, just get some injectors from diesel dawgs performance. of course air intake and exhaust will have to be bought but a good afe intake and any 5" exhaust will do. sorry for the long write up but that should put those guys running home to their mommies.

Well i have a S&B intake, and i was looking at the ATS Aurora3000? any opinion on that? Are there and twin turbo setups that will also replace the stock holset ?

aurora 3000 would be a good single turbo. if you want to replace the holset you could stack the 3000 with a 5000 aurora

Gain some ground on them with just getting rid of the lift, wheels, and tires. Put stock size ones on to get the best power out of the mods. LP, FP gauge, gonna need to add an edge J/A or a Quad, some injectors also. The smarty doesn't give you anymore than 65hp over stock due to the lack of tapping the pump wire. An Edge J/A-Smarty combo is a very powerful setup. Got to have a built trans or a clutch. Need to introduce more air. A big single like a 64 can move some air. The best option for air is compounds or trips.

i have a quadzilla an i love it! an stacking it with a smarty would give a crazy amount of throttle response!
