24V performance options?

Hey guys I just got a 99 ram 3500 dually 4x4 auto trans. She's rate stock minus mbrp 4" I'm looking to get more power without hopefully breaking the bank. IV had 12 V's before and a little bump in power wasn't to bad in cost. Any routes u guys can recomend? Would appreciate it a lot thanks

S&B Intake, Lift pump (Raptor 100 or 150 cheapest route, but lacks water separator and filter setup vs airdog 100/150), Edge Juice w/Attitude (untapped) for gauges and extra hp. Wait til you can beef up your tranny then tap the pump wire and hold on.

Lift Pump is #1, the cost of a good lift pump is way cheaper than replacing your VP-44 (Injector Pump)....its not if the stock lift pump will fail, its when

There are many different routes to go but that one is probably the most affordable

Do an advanced search in the 98.5-02 section for "upgrades" "Modifications" that sort of stuff and you will find tons of threads with different scenarios

Post in the request Quote area and you will get a good idea on the best price from the vendors.

Yup.....BHAF air filter and fuel lift pump is number 1 !!

after that upgrade your trans

then gauges

then think about a chip: edge comp box, smarty or edge juice like eggosbrother said with the gauges unless you prefer the pillar pod style.

Okay, now that I have flamed you to a crisp, I will help you start your build.

IMO the first thing that needs to be addressed is the LP (lift pump) and a FP (fuel pressure) gauge. These two items are an absolute must on a VP powered truck. A good intake system like S&B and a free flowing exhaust are next. After this is taken care off, if you have an auto you need to start saving for tranny work, including but not limited to clutches, servos, VB, and TC along with a shift kit and billet input and output shafts. While you are saving for your tranny upgrades you can purchase an edge j/a and leave the pump wire untapped until the tranny upgrades have been performed. With the pump wire untapped you will see around 65 hp increase over stock with the edge j/a.

This could have been a whole lot easier if you would have asked the question how to make power. So please learn from this mishap and enjoy your stay at DB.
