Goerand Transmission

Well this summer I am most defilently going to upgrade the tranny. Im planning on getting a triple disk and a VB. do you guys recommend anything else? Deep dish pan, input shaft, output shaft, Please keep in mind im not going to be doing major towing and im not going to make over 500 hp any time soon! Ive heard very good stuff about Goerand and i feel most comfortable with him! :rocking:

honestly...and im sure everyone will agree... go find a local trans shop and have them build up the tranny..if your going to get the trans work done.. go big or go home.. only do it once. even if your not going to hit 500hp anytime soon. get a rebuild kit at least, upgraded vb and triple disc converter. and a deep pan. at least.. the input and output shafts are optional , pending how steep your wallet is.

I was going to do it all my self. My trans is mechanically sound and i have knowledge of trans. i have a lift and a mechanic next to me so he is willing to help me.

get some nice servoes, a more aggressive apply lever, up the clutch count in the front drum from i think 4 to 5, it cost like $14 and an input if you can afford it. shift kit for like $60 instead of a $600 valve body that someone else installed a shift kit in and a good TC

Your saying that i dont need to get a VB? servoes and a apply lever and the uping the clutch count onlys costs like 14$?

no upping the clutch count only cost like $14 and a shift kit is what most all towing VB have in them. some of the more racy ones have different valve throughout but not all. a good shift kit will come with a coulpe new valve of their own. if you can read directions and are handy with a wrench i highly reccomend saving a few hundred $$$$ and installing a shift kit on your own.
