Im sure you could get one built cheaper in Anchorage bud.. theres transmission specialists all over that city. i personally dont have any experience with them.. but buying a pre built trans is pointless in my opinion, find a local place and see if they can hook u up, im sure u will save thousands. side note, hows Alaska treating ya? i havent been up there since 2008...i grew up on Elmendorf, then Eagle river till i moved out of the house. lived up there for 14 years. i miss it up there!

ats always sounds good till you have to deal with warranty and other bs whoever you have build the trans I suggest the suncoast valve body with billet servo so you will not have any issues. the rest is up to you but I like the red alto clutches yeah you need to do a trans service at 1k miles but they hold a lot of abuse. a good triple disc converter.

curious to know why you perfer Alto reds? ive had great luck with stock frictions. and if they slip there is still life left in them. my experience with reds is if you slip them they are done.

just curious

Give Goerend a call and check out their site. They build a hell of a trans

If you buy a "mail order" transmission and have any problems that could be warranteed what are you gonna do? drive from alaska to the lower 48 somewhere? drop tranny and mail it back? I say buy all the parts and find reputable local builder.
