Turbo question

So I'm going to get a 66-74-14 sliver built this summer n with that I will need head studs but Wat head gasket people have told me not to get a fire ring gasket n some say thats the way to go. So I need u guys to tell me Wat I need so i can handle a lot of boost.

honestly if you have not bought a turbo yet I would get a smaller turbo so you can actually drive it on the street easy. a 62 would be my choice that 66 is going to be laggy and smoky

Ya but will it handle my edge comp cause I'm really getting tired of only going a 100 yards and my egts getting past 160 with the edge n Smarty. Do I need a different head gasket with the 62 or can I just run stock gasket with head studs.

I guess it depends what you want to do with your truck...

I ran my 62 all over with 110hp ddp injectors 488hp to the rear wheels egts not an issue

Ok that sounds better, Wat kinda boost did u see n Wat head gasket do u use with that turbo.

fire rings are mainly for comp only rigs, diddo on the 62mm charger we put one on with a edge comp and 150s and made 508 and he could still haul hay with it as long as he turned the comp off

Wat would the 64mm do for my truck or should I just get the 62

64/71/14 would be much better than that 66/74/14. Still will have more lag than the 62mm

I used a factory head gasket arp studs and o-ringed the head. I could see up to 48psi with the 110's. I had a buddy run the 64 on his truck and hated it as a single for towing and daily driving it was a lil more laggy and smoky no matter what he did really.
