FASS And No Fuel Heater???

anyone running around in a cold state without a fuel heater....a little worried about this
. my stock lift pump just died and i have a fass but would like to keep the heater..i also have 1/2 vulcan lines ,if i did not have these i would have put the fass in already..where can i find a 1/2 nipple for my fass??
thanks

One thing to remember is the heater only heats what's in the bowl. If it's cold enough to cause a jelling problem it' s gonna occur in other spots and be a bigger problem. There tests have been down to minus 17 and still worked fine. If your really concerned, a little additive to the tank before hand will surely help :)

I'm not usin the FASS but I did run without the stock filter cannister for years with no problems even in the coldest of weather way below 0. I have now routed my fuel lines to pass through the stock cannister though, more for the "Water In Fuel Light" then the heater. If you don't want the stock filter in place just cut the top off of one and leave the top in place to seal the opening.

I would always recommend that anyone using a FASS plumb this back to the inlet of the stock FF canister. If you are in a really cold climate you can plumb antifreeze through the FASS blocks.

I run the plumbing to the FF canister and then use an additional fuel heater.

thanks for the replies,
installed last night to the back of the ff, found my problem when i got to the harness ,one of the wires had broken ,hence no fuel pressure...truck roared to life 18 psi at idle, no test drive yet because the bolts were to short the hold the fass to the framerail:madd:i got 497 on a stock lift pump..think i gained 20 hp

got the bolts this morning and took her for a long drive,18 at idle 15 cruizing and i can suck it down to 6 on a wot run, truck runs much smoother but i was hoping for a little more fuel at wot:baby: ...i will have to check filter ,other than that i am very pleased

wishing i had opted for the 150 now:madd:

You shouldn't be able to drop it down to 6psi..... somethings still not right

lol Hind sight is 20-20 eh?

You must be fueling really hard to pull it down to 6psi with a 100gph lift pump. I'm with Luke, there is something else going on there.

I have no idea if this is affecting you or not, but a Draw Straw was required to get my WOT pressures up. My '02 module had 3 restrictions less than 1/4" ID.
