Squeezing mileage out

Ok so my rig is still pretty much stock except for the turbo back. I'm saving money right now to dump into it hopefully next tax return :jump: A buddy of mine is moving from idaho to cali about a 1000 mile trip one way and I'm hauling some of his stuff in my rig. He's not taking much just the essentials. I plan on changing the oil, fuel/water filter, pulling the radiator and cleaning flushing it (it needs it cleaned bad), redirecting the puke tube, cleaning/new air filter. This is just stuff i want to do before the trip anyways.

BUT... I would like to know how I can squeeze some more mpg out of her for cheap. Like a mileage puck or something. I'll be airing the tires up to 70psi and rotating them when i get there and back just in case. Probably dumb but I've noticed a difference with a bed full.

Anyways, anything else I can do?

i guess you could get an edge ez, for just a lil gain in mpg, but if you want something adjustable from mild to wild, go get an edge comp. theres alot of different levels you can adjust on the fly. worth every penny. in my opinion of course. theres not reallt anything else you can do...except maybe start running a lil 2stroke oil in the fuel tank every fill up, to properly lube the injector pump, people claim to get a small gain in mpg's. do a search on here for 2stroke oil...im sure you will find a shit ton of stuff.. wish i could be more helpful.

Try putting an air dam under the front bumper. I made a crude one out of a couple of plastic semitruck mudflaps and angle iron, bolted to the front crossmember. Simple to make and helps a bit with milage, doesn't have to look perfect, just make sure it clears the suspension components and tires. If you don't like the way it looks, you can always remove it when you get home.

an edge ez will add some mileage but a comp on 5x5 will net the best mileage if you keep your foot out of it. going synthetic in the motor and diffs will help.
