H.I.D conversion kit

I have been looking into getting a HID conversion kit for my dodge . Going to keep my stock head lights, their in good shape , just used the 3M kit to clean them up , did a real good job. Do they work that well with factory lenses? I want high & low beam kit ,who makes a good kit and any thing special that i need to know befor getting a kit . :humm:

My buddy has a 98.5 with stock lenses, made a HUGE difference when he put in 8k HID's high/low. He works at a store called action autoparts here in WA and his were like 80 with his discount. I am going to put in the exact ones in my 99 when I can afford it.

www.retrosolutionslls.com can hook you up. use DIESEL for a promo code and get 10% off select items. get a relay kit. Just so you know sitting behing HIDs at night is a life chaging experience. they seriously light the night. being on the other end of them may not be so much fun though. you may want to look into projector housing for the low beams at the very least. i love my HIDs in my fog light housings. they project further them my high beams and have a super wide pattern for seeing deer.

You really shouldn't put HIDs in the stock housings. They are designed to be used with proper projectors. The stock housings can't focus the light as required, and can seriously blind oncoming drivers. Here is a very good write-up on doing a conversion properly and why doing it improperly will cause problems.

I just put hid lights in my new stock housings and was not pleased with the light pattern on the shop wall. the light gets dispersed far too much. I turned them way down for now till i can get a set of projection lenses. The other thing that i noticed is there not much difference between HI or LOW beam... pt
