Help installing gauges...
 

Ok, so I'm finally ready to install my gauges. I purchased the set from glowshift. I have tranny temp, boost, and exhaust temp. I'm adding fuel a little later because she's still stock under the hood.

Can someone tell me the best places to put these and maybe take some pictures? I'm still new to this whole diesel thing and I want to make sure I put them in the right places. My local shop can do it for $70 an hour so I want to see if I could tackle it myself.

Windshield mount. How I did mine was I bought a bunch of wire, same colors as the gauge harnesses. I taped them all together, then tucked them up under the headliner, then ran them down along the cab (removed the A-pillar), through the firewall, then branched them off from there. 2 wires to the trans temp sensor, 3 for my boost gauge, and 2 for my EGT.

Oops I should of clarified - I bought the A pillar mount. I just need to know where to put the sensors.

I've heard good and bad things on glowshifts' gauges. Seeing as I'm waiting for the stock tranny to go out and I bought these a while back I'm just going to slap them in for now and possibly swap them out later. From what I've heard though glowshift doesn't have a problem swapping out a bad gauge for you...

i have glowshift gauges for now and the boost and egt gauge aren't bad, haven't had a problem with them except their pod for the 94-02 dodge with speaker hole is a joke, ask me....the fuel pressure is a completely different story, on my second one with a new snubber and still doesn't work properly, worked for about 2 days and then when i'd wot it'd go down and shoot up to 30 then down and up etc....now at idle and driving it just jumps around randomly. my edge is the only reliable fuel pressure gauge i have right now, i'm going to have to call back to them and get a new sender and this time i'm just going to go nuts and run the sender off away from the engine and use hose to tap it into the bowl where the snubber is.

I haven't messed with the pod yet...what's wrong with it wyodiesel?

From the little research I've done I think I want to tap into the port on the left on the picture?

Double check edges install for the juice with attitude they have a good place to put it just can't remember since I don't have an auto and didn't do it.

And the glow shift pod fits crappy and if you got the pod with the speaker hole it's a joke. The speaker hole isn't next to the tweeter to install clean it's just a hole in the pillar so you can hear it and you can see all the wires and plumbing in there. I'm going to make a cover in there to hide the wires and a cover for the hole or get a different pod from a good place and throw the glowshift one in the trash

Ok I have the boost and the tranny sensors figured out. Now I need help with the exhaust sensor and where to put it!

I'm putting the tranny sensor in the 1. place I circled in the picture. This is correct right?

This is the best place to put the EGT probe.

You have to drill and tap it yourself, not that hard, take your time and you will be fine.
