Truck Cutting Out

So I searched quite a bit on this topic but couldnt come up with quite the same scenario.
My problem is when I drive the truck for about 30 miles or so it will start getting dead pedal, sometimes for 2 or 3 miles at a time and other times just once or twice. What makes this different is about a month before this i thought my adrenaline had gone haywire, it was fine one day then the next it acted like it was hitting a rev limiter at 2-2500rpm a few times driving. Then the next day when i got into it the settings were all different than I have ever set them?? I come up with 3 codes using the key trick(0500,0122,1693) I changed the apps out with one off my parts truck which may or may not be good but i get the same symptoms. I unhooked the adrenaline the other day and took a couple short trips without any dead pedal but i havent been home to drive it since, just curious if anyone else has ever had these issues, dont know which part to troubleshoot the truck or the quad.
BTW truck is an 01 5 speed 4x4 new raptor 100(replaced stock lift pump before it got to weak, always carried about 7psi.) Quadzilla Adrenaline.
Thanks in advance for any insight.

i had that exact problem in our 03 international it ended up being a cam or crack shaft possitioning sensor

Well I have replaced the cam sensor, again stole it off my parts truck, I was losing my tach and still had throttle control although a def lack of power when it would act up. Now my tach reads right when it acts up and the tps signal on my adrenaline never never misses a beat either?

I am leaning towards injection pump. Are you still running a stock lift pump? What is your FP at? Have you checked for codes with the key trick?

Not to be rude HRD but i answered your questions in my original post, the raptor keeps the fuel pressure above 16 on the hottest tune, I wont disagree that it could be the pump but I want to be totally sure before I throw down the cash ha. I appreciate any help you guys can give me this is my first cummins so im still tryin to learn the quirks.

Re: Truck Cutting Out

Ecm apps ground could cause the problem. Data log the truck and check pids (sensor data) just to verify before buying a pump
You could also do a wiggle test to verify connectors and wiring. Could also do apps reground

Ok that sounds logical to me, any pointers as to where this grounds to so i could possibly physically check the connection or is it an internal thing inside the ecm?

Re: Truck Cutting Out

The apps grounds through the ecm . Some folks splice the apps ground and connect to a body ground. Might also ground pcm and ecm with additional grounds to the body(pcm) and block(ecm).

Ok thanks a lot, that sounds like a good place to start.

Anytime! Make sure to keep a eye on battery terminals. Corrosion plays heck on the 5v systems

Well thats something I had overlooked also, those are a sore spot on this truck. They corrode up much worse than any other vehicle ive ever seen. Ill start with giving them a good cleaning and go get some of that spray on coating for them. I got this truck for a song so I really cant complain but there are so many half assed fixes on it its not even funny, including the battery cables.

0122 is APPS voltage too low. Not sure about 0500. Use the link below and do what it says. Seems like I've been posting this link alot lately :w2:

Not rude at all my ignorance for not reading the whole post.:s::c:

Just a follow up on my problem that will hopefully help others. Mysterync had recommended to check the battery terminals, they were corroded which I already knew i should take care of but when i took the clamps off the battery i found one of the posts had broken loose inside one of the batterys, if it was wiggled just right it would break the circuit. I cleaned all the connections and checked all my grounds and replaced that battery and so far so good. Im knocking on wood as i type this but im pretty sure this resolved my problems. Thanks for the help guys.
