Low boost with Edge Juice

Hey yall,

I realize there are a few threads on this same topic around, but I want to be as specific as possible. I have a 2001 24v non-HO Cummins. The only mods are-

K&N Intake kit
Edge Juice/Attitude

I have set the max boost to 40lbs and changed low end responsiveness to 5 on all settings. The highest boost I have seen so far is 19lbs. Something doesnt seem right here.
There seems to be VERY little difference between stage 1 and 5. I have double checked the installation. Is this the most boost I should see or am I right in suspecting something has gone awry?

You need to block off the wastegate or use a x hook to increase your boost. You wastegate is opening early. Or just completely block it off for the HX 35
You can use one of these for a HY35
BD Power - Product: BD Turbo X-Hook
Or these for a HX35
BD Power - Product: Adjustable Wastegate Kits

not a bad price, but I think Im already buying a Super B from you in the next few months anyways.

18PSI is really the stock setting on that wastegate? Thats just sad!

You will need some injectors with that Super B. With a good lift pump.

I had the same problem this weekend. Nothing over 1050 degrees and 21 lbs boost . All settings feel the same. Does the EJWA have a built in boost fooler? I'm going to try the hose pinch tomorrow. Does the supplied boost elbow need to be installed? thanks pt

Plus make sure you check your connection at the VP44 if your not tapped in you wont get your full fueling potential. Especially if your not feeling a difference from 1 to 5.

I installed boost elbow. I can now squeek out 24 lbs boost. No change in egts (1050 deg.) It seems to platue at 45% throttle/1050deg/2300rpm. Mash throttle egt drops to 960-980 deg. I do not have new vp tapped at this time, but shouldnt i get higher egts than that and hence more boost? Sorry about all the ??s just not sure how all this works yet...thanks pt

For the Edge J/a to work to its full potential you need to have it tapped into the pump wire, otherwise it is like having and edge ez with gauges instead of an Edge J/A. With out it tapped to the pump wire you are only getting 65hp out of it instead of the estimated 120hp. Also make sure you adjust you defueling for boost and egt.
