HELP ME MAKE MY CUMMINS SMOKE!
I drive a 2002 Dodge Cummins, Turbo Diesel, 2500 24valve, I6. I want the experts to give me advice on how to get the most fuel milage i can and make that cummins shake out coal like its supposed to do. :)
|
Big injectors with a fueling box. Don't do it though, smoke is gay.
|
your truck isnt a v6. Its a inline 6 or straight 6. And you posted in the wrong section.
|
Fuel Mileage... The basics really make the biggest difference in my opinion. Just adding a new intake/filter gave me 3mpg.

HELP ME MAKE MY CUMMINS SMOKE!
V6 haha. Make power not smoke buddy. Smoke is the reason the new trucks have DPF's and other emissions bullish**. Help out the hobby and passion and please don't go around throwing smoke at everyone. It looks bad and is ruining our hobby

to all you knocking smoke. just remember with high powers comes smoke. mine smokes at idle cant be helped big pump and big injectors. ive done all i can to keep it from it. but that 850 hp pull on a vp looks good. but i agree to a point keep it off the roads its dangerous and kinda childish. not to say that i havent done it to some jackass on the road but thats part of knowing when to use it lmao.

I'm not even going to answer this stupid question. :w2:

EH..... Cheap and easy way.... you can even get it at wall mart. Go back to the women"s section. Ask the clerk for a pair of extra large Granny panties. now go out to your truck and open the hood. put the panties on your head. take the bag they gave you and wrap it around the air filter jump in it and go. You will look just as dumb as the cloud coming out of the pipe..... :pca1:
There is your smoke answer. Mileage? Small injectors (50-70HP), Stage 2 intake, 4" exhaust with muffler, and a Smarty ran on level 1. My set up get 24-26 MPG on the hiway with the Smarty on 1, and the EJWA on 0. :choochoo: |
I heard that the granny panties actually cause more restriction than the plastic bag lol

:w2: You guys just forgot to carry the one when adding up the hp gains from each mod....duh :argh:

best way for black smoke and mileage is tuner, intake exhaust and injectors. how big you go on injectors is up to you
|
For the high horsepower guys with smoke, yeah of course they smoke. This guy wasn't asking how to build a high power truck, he's asking how to make it smoke. Smoking trucks with no power are gay. Smoking trucks on the street, no matter what power is gay. High power trucks on the strip, dyno, track are awesome when they pour smoke.
There is a guy that blows smoke every time he drives by my shop, I guess he thinks I'm impressed. I think he's a moron. |

I'm with Matt, smoke and no power is gay as can be.
Jackasses that leave a billowing cloud of black smoke at every stop....grow up just a little. Now a good puff when you shift down to pull a big ass load up a steep hill...that's manly. |
Large plumes of black smoke will only hurt us in the end. Emissions will get tighter on older vehicles, we don't need California everywhere.
|
If I had the truck and wanted it to work,though......
1.Fuel pressure gauge 2.exhaust 3.Pyro 3.RV275 injectors 4.EZ |
Smoke is annoying on a daily driver getting into while towing is like damn there goes my money out the tailpipe had power joke that smoked stupid and it gone to a clean burnin cummins now with a smarty level 1 no suit on my tip :) only a puff on start up :) fuel is to spendy to blow it all over the road lol :argh:

1. Plastic bag 2. Drive like granny for a month and then stomp it on a hard acceleration and roll coal 3. Run a Y line from your fuel line to a fitting on your exhaust and put an electronic servo for easy on off 4. Create HP and the smoke will come The first three will get you hated and ridiculed because its us being honest. The guys that can roll coal because they've got the trucked tuned to race have earned it and don't try and make your truck look like that unless you've paid the price and hard work to do it Which is #4. Even the guys with highly modded high HP trucks aren't gonna be blowing smoke if they can avoid it because it just makes the EPA and Greenpeace get their panties in a wad. |
