lowww boost?????
I have tried two different gauges and all i can get is 18 psi of boost. I have my gauge plugged into the intake manifold closest to the inercooler tube. I have a needle valve on the tube to the wastegate so I have no wastegate. Do I need to plug my gauge somewhere else? Is a needle valve bypassing the wastegate?

Is everything stock still. When i had still had the stock turbo and a banks box on my 01 the most that i could get was 20-22 psi.

unless you have a boost fooling box, you wont see much over 18-22, factory settings in the computer have the engine cut back at 18lbs read from the map sensor. Plugging the wastegate gets you nothing without a boost fooling program to trick the motor into not de-fueling.

I have a superchip and a bullydog dog chip on it. The bullydog chip has a boost fooler in it. I have the wastegate line plugged too so i don't know. Maybe my boostfooler ant working.

If the Pooperchip and puppy chip both have boost fooling, it may effect your performance. I'd suggest removing the superchip software and see what happens. Some guys have tried a boost fooler with the boost fooler of a fuelling box and it doesn't work very well.

low boost?
you do not need to fool computer!!! no speacial do dads needed.check your boost psi sender on left side of head or buy a new one, keep the axtra one for spare in case needed in boonys!most common low power complaint.#2 buy your self a banks big head waste gate
actuator and in stall night and day.next drill 1/8 npt hole in intake elbow on intake and plumb in this spot. that will take care of that and will respond much, much better!!!!!!!! see ya.:moon: |

low boost?
no you dont put in the compressor housing/you put the hole in the intake elbow that bolts to the intake plate on l/side of engine!!! then plumb in your boost gauge line to that. there is no need to fool the ecm unit.i get 20-30psi every day.its the most simple way to get more boost/little better mpg and still have stock peramertures.....

OPERATION - DIESEL The MAP sensor reacts to air pressure changes in the intake manifold. It provides an input voltage to the Engine Control Module (ECM). As pressure changes, MAP sensor voltage will change. The change in MAP sensor voltage results in a different input voltage to the ECM. The ECM uses this input, along with inputs from other sensors to provide fuel timing, fuel control and engine protection. Engine protection is used to derate (drop power off) the engine if turbocharger pressure becomes to high. i get 20-30psi every day |
