How much fuel should flow

What flow do the VP44 pumps need at 5-10psi??

And what diameter are dodge fuel lines?

Need to know so I can compare to what the f250 has and if I can use the stock set up with a adjustable regulator with a return....

Im setting the cumins up in the vehicle stock just to make sure everything works , then it will be set up as a daily driver/tow/work then play ie drag racing. I already have a head ordered from Scheids, this will be easier to change out of the truck before I put the whole setup into the F250 and will try and do as much as posible on the stock pump.
Thanks for your comments

Re: How much fuel should flow

The vp44 needs a little more than 5 I wouldn't go less than10 psi on it
If I were you I would just get an airdog right from the start and modify it to hook up to your ford gas tank then there is no worries and it saves your very expensive injection pump

at least 7psi and no more than 24psi. I would run 1/2" lines to get the proper flow.

Thanks for the info but Im actually looking for the flow at that psi ie how many gallons per minute or hour.

Ive thought bout the airdog upgrade. Do they flow enough on stock lines??
And if you put in a 1/2" delivery line should you put in the same return line to stop back pressure???

The stock replacements I think list 100GPH and airdog is 150GPH. The return lines do not matter cause the lift pumps are regulated to flow ?? psi. If you are going to use a regulated pump I would start with about 18-20 psi and then see what it is at WOT (No less than 10 psi) Correct me if I am wrong guys

Re: How much fuel should flow

If you buy the airdog raptor fass setup it comes with 1/2 inch fuel lines for you already. Never ran into an issue on return lines, stock dodge lines are like 5/16 iirc stock lift pumps are rated at 100gph but they don't flow near that the raptor I had in mine moved a LOT more fuel

I hadnt heard of the raptor pump before but thats what my supplyer has quoted me on. What are the schieds 200hp injectors like? for now and to handle the future upgrades. I know scheids are good but just curious what others think.

The unfortunate down side to being so far away from the source.. its weeks to get stuff back and forth not days
Thanks for the input

well decide on your hp goal first then we can let you know injector size and turbo(s) size(s) for that too.

I just found out so, I will be putting an aftermarket fuel system on. The f250 will only pump upto 30GPH at about 55psi through 5/16 lines. So thats a given.
From the info Ive read about the cummins and a few sig's Ive been reading on here Im hoping to get up to 650-700HP on fuel and somewhere around 800 with a bit of gas. I figure 650 is a good spot thats has good power, good streetability, towing (6500pds), and if I keep my foot out of the throttle should get reasonable fuel economy. Thats why I was looking at 200hp sticks and twins (66/74.T3 flange and a S400 80/88.T4 flange).

I know you shouldnt belive everything you read but I think im close. Any input will be taken on board( Ive got big shoulders so tell me if Im dreaming or not or typing verbal dihorrea).......

Almost forgot I will also be doing a bit of dragracing aswell.
I will propably support all this withe the quadzilla tuner. I already have all the gauges from the P/S and have added a fuel pressure gauge to the mix aswell.

Re: How much fuel should flow

Yep need a fuel pressure gage, headstuds, twins, some big sticks, I used the quadzilla adrenaline and loved it! Lots of power! I would think that with the proper twins injectors and supporting mods you should reach your goal. And with a little giggle gas get more out of it Haha.
