just wondering
 
i seen on another members sig about his intake baffles mia...would our trucks have them and what would the gain be? im all about making my truck sound better i have a 4 inch down pipe to a 5 inch exh that comes out before the tire.. going to figure out 5 inch duals before the wheels but gotta figure it out first...but let me know bout the baffles it perked my intrest a lil bit

The baffles, eh? Kinda baffles me:lol: about what he is talking about. The head has poor flow down to 5 and 6 due to some castings, but I don't think they are removable.

could this possibly the baffle like tube on the plastic intake tube? like some people remove them and use a smooth bore piece, just like the aftermarket setups you can buy...afe,s&b etc?

iirc the truck was an 05...didnt know if that made a difference

Yes, some of the Common Rails will have a baffle that will reduce engine noise. We do not have anything like that.

Yeah, I think hes refering to the ripples in the stock plastic intake tube.
