Pros: no worries about the VP taking a dump on you anytime & anywhere! Higher HP potential. ability to run alt fuels.
Cons: TUNING until you are familiar and get it set-up. static timing. ability to pass smog laws.
Seeing how yours is a conversion already, I would do it. :tu:
Cost isnt really an issue if you look into it. If you already have a good LP (Fass/Adog) they can be set to 35+psi the ppump needs pretty easily. Then you can sell the VP (assuming its good)(if its bad you can put the $1200 replacement cost into the swap budget) and any programmers/ "boxes" you may have to help off-set the cost. A good working P7100 (used) costs around $700+ and the FULL DIY swap kit goes from $1500-2500.
HTH :c:

Did my swap and ill do it on every 24v vp44 i buy from here on out. The good thing about the swap is you can either make it wil with all the fuel you want, or u can make it as a stock replacement for the vp44. Cost me around $2k which is ALOT less than i thought it was going to. I sold alot of parts i didnt need anymore and replaced the money i spent pretty quick. Cons: def the tuning, but thats not so bad. If you got any questions, shoot me a pm and ill help ya out. There are a few tips and tricks to the swap that make things alot better in the long run. :c:

Been looking on craigslist, found most of the stuff needed to do a swap. seems a lot cheaper and all the stuff is rebuilt. Heard you could just use a line bender for break lines on the fuel lines. Mybe a little more on the DIY side but is this i good idea? Are the rebuilt pumps reliable? And if so what are all the parts that are needed to do theswap?

no. p7100 is fully mechanical. timing/fueling is adjusted with wrenches not wires.
