i would start with at least a valve body, then get a deep sump pan for now, when you get the cash, pull the trans, have it rebuilt with stronger clutch packs to eliminate the slipping as much as possible(this is what creates heat, heat cause the trans to die) and depending on how far you want to plus hit power wise will determine the next step. I go by what hp and torque you want and then add at least 30 percent in order to give you some growing room. If youre going for 400 plus hp and 1000 ft lbs plus, id go ahead and swap in billet input and output shafts and maybe even the intermediate shaft. Get at least a 3 disc converter and that shoudl get you started. another safe bet is to call a trans plac lik ATS or Suncoast, tell them what you have and what your plans are and see what they reccomend. They are the experts, its their field :rocking:
