Just remember, that 25 mpg's is great, but you're filling up two fuel tanks and have two fuel systems now.

Heres the other thing, fill out your sig the rest of the way, model of truck, tire size, that sort of thing, and we can help more. If you've got 37's and an 8" lift, thats the right mileage. If you're stock height and 265's, theres a problem. Also, what gears are you running? A lot of guys have 3.55's in the dana 70 and 3.54's in the 80. Some also came with 4.11's. All of this goes into account for fuel mileage. One sure fire way to increase mileage is to make sure your tires are aired up to manufactures specifications.

There is a guy around me here locally and he has propane set-up on his 3500 4dr Common Rail. He claims it does increase his mileage. He also has a Smarty on the truck, which he runs without propane. From what I got out of it, the two are useless together. The cost of the propane set-up entirely would be a healthy chunk to justify for only driving 10,000-15,000 miles a year. I don't know how much driving you do in your truck, but if its in that range or not far off I would look into other means. Such as economizer injectors and a box with a fuel economy tune.
Let me know if you find anything else on the propane or any good deals, Interesting topic

I have propane and a SMARTY, I run both and have run the SMARTY on different levels. It is a pain to have 2 different fuels, yet I get about 20 mpg at 75 without propane, and when it kicks in it help to pull the hills. My system was about $500 for me to install it, kit, hoses, and D.O.T. approved tank. I also have the propane set to turn on at about 2 psi of boost. The most improvement in MPG comes from the right foot.

When I did mine, I figured that I needed to use it for 10,000 miles with diesel above $3.00 per gallon. If diesel went below this, then it wasn't cost effective.
